OSSI
The Ossi drum is designed as a modern counterpart of the African log-drum.
This drum has been a part of the folkloric music of many cultures.
In Africa it is played in the Kongo and in Guinea.
Our drums are made of choice hardwoods such as mahogany, walnut, and cherry.
Each has four basic tones; a pattern that has proven to be optimum over the years.
There are two styles: rectangular and hexagonal.
The rectangular drums have a longer sound duration and come in three sizes.
The hexagagonal drums have a shorter sound duration similar to hollow log-drum and are available in two sizes.
