DJIMBE

      The Djimbe is a goblet-shaped drum origionating From northern West Africa.It is prominent inthe music of Mali, Guinea, Senegal, Irvory Coast, Burkina Faso and other countries of the region. The Djimbe sound engages players at all levels of ability and experience and entrances listeners. This drim has become very popular in all drum circles in the United States.

SHELL: The shell is 25" high with a head diameter of 13"-1". It is constructed from one piece staves of mohogany, selected for its excellent sound properties and elegant appearance. The method of construction is unique and results in a superior drum that is not subject to cracking or deformation. The shell is smoothed and then finished with four coats of polyurethane varnish.

TUNING: THE head is streched to desired pitch by means of a traditional rope pattern which can be adjusted if necessary.
